The test is free and will be given on November 7th. The ASVAB is a great career assessment tool. A student does not have to go into the Military in order to take the ASVAB.

RedHawks Pass it On is a student driven initiative that is promoting Random Acts of Kindness. It seems that kindness is fading in society or at least is not emphasized and noticed as much. Today society and youth are constantly bombarded with negative messages in the media, online, music, movies and everyday life. Bullying has increased to an all time level with the ease technology provides. 37% of young people between the ages of twelve and seventeen have bullied online. 30% have had it happen more than once. (stopbullying.gov). Stewarts Creek DECA is launching a project to simply encourage students to be kind. One of the first goals will be to simply document and recognize at LEAST 50 random acts of kindness from students. That is 5 a week for the next 10 weeks. At least one a day! With that we hope to be able to continue to recognize more. So be on the lookout for the smiley face buttons, displays and more activities throughout the semester Stewarts Creek DECA wants to share the stories of Red Hawks Passing It On. Thanks for all that have nominated students so far. And don't forget you can complete a nomination form using the link below (This is also found on the Schools website homepage.)
